The last weekend was the May Fest of Leavenworth, the German city of Washington State.
I had been planning to go there on the days for a long time. Because actually I wanna go the October fest of there, but unfortunately I never go the event.
I went there on this January as the event of the college, and watched the winter event of Leavenworth, but I had had only one and half hours at that time, that's why I couldn't walk around enough.
So, as soon as I returned home, I planned going to there again, and joining May Fest!
Finally the one of my bucket lists had come true!
My husband allowed me to stay there for two days because he really wanted to drink beer a lot.
I was very happy to hear he said, then I checked hotels what is good for us, and finally I found good one; it was inexpensive, kind of traditional style of Germany, and looked pretty good.
Actually the hotel was almost good to us, and also at the night I got a free cake in the dining room. Yaps :)
Returned to beginning of story of the trip.
Unexpectedly my husband went fishing with his fishing buddy in that morning!!!
So we left our home in the late morning.
Fortunately the distance was more quickly to drive than I thought, it took only 2 hours and little( include rest time) to arrive at the hotel which was near by the downtown.
After checking in the hotel, we went to eat lunch, and found a German fast food restaurant which was crowded with many customers.
I like Currywurst because in my hometown, Kobe there is a pretty good Currywurst dining cafe; I really like the cafe.
I immediately ordered it, and my husband ordered beef sausage. We could customize the dish as we like, so I put sauerkraut, dill pickles, chopped onion and German curry sauce onto my wurst.
I also ordered chocolate cake beer, both of them were good!!!
After lunch, we got into a spicy food shop, and we found terrible hot sauce. I was scared of it, but my husband tried it without worry......you know the result....Lol
His tongue became crazy for a while.
Then we walk around all of the downtown, and watch the shows of German traditional dancing. It was surprisingly that men and women were dancing around a pole with ribbons, hanging the ribbons, and finally the pole had been decorated with the ribbons!!! Amazing!! And sweet :)
We looked some shops, my husband said "German people were like kind of Chunibyo???" (If you don't know the word, please check the word on the website.)
His saying was actually funny. I thought it was exactly so, but it's kind of good meaning I want to say.
He was actually excited to watch long sword fighting lecture.
By the way, he was also addicted to petting dogs in the park or downtown. He said he was really loved by dogs on that day.
Truly he looked super happy with his lovers.
In the evening, we had special dinner at the German restaurant "Andreas Keller" ;My husband's manager who is real German recommend the restaurant to us.
We ordered huge grilled pork hack and sausage samplers, and of cause beer and wine.
The dishes were good:)
Especially I liked their sauerkraut.
The downtown was closed early, most of shops closed at 5pm or 6pm, and restaurants closed at 8pm or 9pm.
We returned our hotel in the early evening, and immediately slept down. (Particularly me, after eating a free cake.)
I had been sleeping in the sprawled on the bed, and when I woke up in the midnight, I realized my honey was laying on the floor....:(
The night was really long, we slept for almost 12 hours or more.
