アメリカ便り「母の日」〜Report from America "Mother's Day"

Happy Mother's Day!!!

母の日おめでとう！

It's still one day earlier around Seattle, but in my home country, Japan it is already on the Second Sunday of May.

シアトル周辺ではまだ一日早いですが、私の母国日本では既に５月の第二日曜日。

IIn the talk-time on last Monday, we talked about "Mayday" and " Mother 's Day," and we made flower arrangement vase's crafts using colored paper or something else.

前の月曜日のトークタイムでは、｢メイデー｣と｢母の日｣について話し、色紙等を使って、フラワーアレンジメントの工作をしました。

It was fun as always :)

いつものごとく楽しかった(o^∀^o)

I sent cards and Seattle silk scarves as Mother's Day gifts for my mother and mother in law few days ago, and also I took a picture of my own craft, then sent my mother as an email attachment.

数日前には、日本にる母達へ母の日のプレゼントにカードとシアトルシルクのスカーフを贈り、実母には作った花瓶を写真に撮ってEメールに添付して送りました。

I saw special flower arrangements in the talk-time, or in the museum; the arrangement of the museum was produced by Sogetsu, which my mother had learned when she was young, amazing!

トークタイムや先日行った美術館では、母の日の特別なフラワーアレンジメント（生花）も見ました。美術館にあったのは奇しくも母が若い頃に習得した草月流のもの！

I also saw cupcakes shaped like flower bouquets in the nearest super market.
I heard or looked something of Mother's Day everywhere, every time in this week.

近所のスーパーでは、花束の形に模したにカップケーキを見たり。今週は色んなところで度に母の日に関連したものを見聞きしました。

Happy Mother's Day again.
