Happy Valentine's Day!!!

In United States, the valentine's day is also popular and people have a lot of fun to it as Christmas. The valentine sale is held in most shops and we can see a lot of valentine's decorations even in the neighborhood of my house.

I went to Seattle last Friday to get valentine's gifts for my parents who are in Japan. At first I went to Pike Place Market. My favorite knit's shop was there. I bought knit cap and gloves at there.
And then I looked for some chocolate.


I could find some good chocolate and I also find chocolate material's shop "indi chocolate" that sold pretty good goods using cacao. I became a fan of the shop soon. I also shopped in a chocolate's shop "Fran's".

After I finished shopping, I went to Seattle Art Museum [I'm going to write about it and Pike Place Market soon later].
Other day, I bought a picture book for my mother because she likes Curious George.

Today, I went to a cafe with the talktime's teacher and members after the talktime in Mountlake Terrace Library. Sometimes we go to there, but there were many pretty decorations given a showcase or others.
They sold pretty cute cookies also. But I ordered a cup of hot cocoa and an "ultimate chocolate cookie" that a piece of the chocolate was on the top of the cookie. I wanted to feel Valentine....

By the way, I am going to bake many cookies and cakes this weekend after a long absence. Can I do a good work? I'm worrying now.

ハッピーバレンタインデー！

アメリカでは、バレンタインデーはクリスマスと同じくらいに大切にされており、沢山の人がその日を楽しみにしています（ちなみにバレンタインの夜は外でご馳走を食べるのが習慣らしく、どこのお店もいっぱいだとか…）。

彼方此方のお店でバレンタインセールが開催されており、私の家の近所でも、至る所でバレンタインデコレーションが見られます。

先週金曜日には、日本にいる親達に贈るバレンタインプレゼントを探しにシアトルまで行ってきました。
初めに、私が好きなニット屋さんがあるパイクプレイスマーケット（シアトルの観光名所としても名高い市場）へ行き、そこで両親にニット帽と手袋を買いました。それからチョコレートを探しに行き……無事にチョコレートもゲット！
チョコレート（カカオ）を原料とした製品を扱う「インディチョコレート」というお店も見つけて、私はそのお店に一目惚れ(*^^*)
それから市場隣接のシアトルで人気が高いチョコレート屋さん「フランツ」へ。

買い物を終えた後、すぐ近くのシアトルアートミュージアムへも行ったのですが……それはパイクプレイスマーケットの詳細と合わせて、また後日投稿します。
そうそう！別な日には母への追加プレゼントに、母が好きな「おさるのジョージ」の絵本も購入しました♪

さて昨日は、モントレイクテラス図書館のトークタイム（英談会）を終えた後、先生とメンバーの皆さんと一緒にお茶をしに行きました。
同じカフェで、たまにこうしてアフターをするのですが、今回はなんとお店がバレンタインデコレーションで華やかになっていました。
バレンタインクッキーも売っていたけれど………私はホットココアと、アルティメットクッキーというチョコレートクッキーを注文（バレンタイン気分を味わいたくてチョコ尽くし♪）

ちなみにこの週末には久々にクッキーやケーキを大量生産しようかと目論んでいます！
でも、無事に完成するかしら〜(>_<)

※補足……ちなみにこちらでは、女性へのバレンタインプレゼントにバラなどの花やジュエリーを贈るのも習慣の一つのようです。
